چکیده
This paper examines the relationship between female entrepreneurship and environmental implications in ASEAN economies. While economic growth affluence benefit society, they come at cost of degradation, particularly rising carbon dioxide levels ecosystem concerns. Women entrepreneurs Southeast Asia can potentially support their families contribute to societal development by starting own businesses. Their ventures provide fresh perspectives on challenges enable active participation contribution creative endeavors, leading social empowerment with ripple effects communities. To assess consequences women’s entrepreneurial activities, study applies bias-corrected method moments tests Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis across ten nations from 1980 2021. Results show cross-sectional dependence all variables confirm a long-term within EKC model. The fixed-effects estimator bias correction is deemed most suitable Findings indicate that GDPpc leads decreased emissions, while square contributes increased emissions; however, cubic term CO2 supporting “inverted N” curve distribution emissions proposed theory. Additionally, reveals higher percentages are associated due efforts develop entrepreneurs. Conversely, reduction gender gap marriage, divorce, remarriage, domestic violence shift away activities among women, positively impacting environment.

Environmental Kuznets Curve Hypothesis: A Survey
The Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis postulates an inverted-U-shaped relationship between different pollutants and per capita income, i.e., environmental pressure increases up to a certain level as income goes up; after that, it decreases. An EKC actually reveals how a technically specified measurement of environmental quality changes as the fortunes of a country change. A sizeable ...
متن کاملNATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND THE ENVIRONMENT I The Environmental Kuznets Curve Hypothesis
If the EKC holds, we might be tempted to make an even stronger statement: growthpromoting policies in less developed countries (LDCs) cause incomes to rise and are thus environmentally friendly. We do not need to bother negotiating with developing countries to reduce emissions. Let LDCs develop, and they will eventually solve their own environmental problems, even if in the short run pollution ...
متن کاملReconsidering the Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis: the trade off between environment and welfare
Past climate change literature paid great attention to the welfare analysis of international agreements that stabilize emissions over time on the basis of the New Welfare Economics approach claiming “objective” measures of well-being and excluding interpersonal comparisons. In this paper, by using non New Welfare Economics approaches we show that the involvement of developing countries is not a...
متن کاملInterrelationships between income, health and the environment: extending the Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis
This paper examines the link between the health indicators and the environmental variables for a cross-section of countries widely dispersed on the economic development spectrum. While environment and income are seen to have an inverted-U shaped relationship (Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis), it is also well established that environment and health are positively related. Our study ...
متن کاملThe Environmental Kuznets Curve:
1. Introduction The environmental Kuznets curve is a hypothesized relationship between various indicators of environmental degradation and income per capita. In the early stages of economic growth degradation and pollution increase, but beyond some level of income per capita (which will vary for different indicators) the trend reverses, so that at high-income levels economic growth leads to env...
